Ex 1 – Artist Statement & Bio

Develop your introduction and express who you are on your website by creating a short and intriguing artist statement introductory bio.

In about 2 paragraphs or so (no more than 1 page, no little than 6 well-crafted sentences), express who you are, what you do and why you are qualified to do it.

Artist Statement:

This paragraph is generally about your art. Your style. Your mediums. Your process of making. Your philosophy of making. WHO you are making it for. WHY they benefit from you making your art.

Bio:
This is more back story about you. TELL A STORY! MAKE IT INTERESTING! Tell WHY you are an artist making art. Express your USP (unique selling point). Talk about your training, degrees, awards, publications and clients.
